Ever since it first appeared on the Basque Coast in the 1950’s, surfing has come increasingly to the fore.

It must be said that Anglet, with its 4.5 km of beaches and its 11 surfing spots, is now recognised the world over as a must surfing destination.

Surfing simply a sport? No, there’s more to it than that!

It has its own genuine culture which has adopted Anglet as one of its favourite spots.

A dozen or so surfing schoolsshare the action and learners are already dreaming of scoring their first victory in the competitions in 2008.
