All the excitement of the Basque Country!
Since 1984, the stalls of the
Quintaou market offer consumers products from all four corners of Aquitaine.
The place rivals with Petticoat Lane as from the crack of dawn: fruit, vegetables, cheese, delicatessen, meat, all from
local producers or from farther afield rub shoulders with little stands loaded with
bric-à-brac or
travelling outfitters.
Take time off to stroll around all the stalls of this traditional open-air market every Thursday or Sunday morning and take advantage of the opportunity to discover the
flap mushrooms and
wood pigeons in the autumn and the
baby eels in the winter. To go with them, whatever the season, there is nothing to beat the
green peppers, the pride of Anglet!
Bargain-hunters will be out in force on the fourth Saturday on the month (except in December) looking for that precious find at the
Quintaou Flea Market.
