The programme at Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port is particularly appealing: every day, the old city proudly boasts its ramparts, the Vauban citadel, its Bishops’ prison and its Roman bridge.

Before leaving, discover the astonishing work of Olivier Carriquiry, a craftsman who produces by hand traditional Navarre pottery which is as useful as it is decorative.

The Iraty forest, perched at an altitude of 1200 m, Europe’s largest beech forest, offers a natural welcome in an incomparable mountain setting.

The time has come to taste the specialities bought at the market of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port (every Monday) and afterwards, we’re off again!
