class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blue Flag<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2024, Anglet&#8217;s 8 supervised beaches were awarded the Blue Flag.\nThis international certification rewards the town&#8217;s commitment to sustainable tourism.\nThe label takes into account the quality of bathing water, urban water treatment, the collective sanitation system, household waste treatment, accessibility for people with reduced mobility, signage and environmental education.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bathing water quality<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On July 28, 2021, the town received renewal of its &#8220;D\u00e9marche qualit\u00e9 des eaux de baignade&#8221; certification for the eight beaches under the supervision of the coastal lifeguards.\nIt is awarded for three years by AES certification, and is subject to an annual surveillance audit.\nThis label, created by the French Ministry of the Environment, rewards the local authority for all the real-time monitoring and information systems put in place to protect the health of bathers.\nFor Anglet, bathing water quality represents a major ecological and tourism issue.\nIt has held this certification since June 2017.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div d&#8217;Amour beach has been awarded the Handiplage label, thanks to a special system enabling disabled people to swim in complete safety.\nA platform topped by a pergola allows users to park at the beach entrance.\nAccess to the bathing area is then facilitated by a special mat installed on the sand.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The swim is aboard a Tiralo.\nThis beach chair, designed for people with reduced mobility, can both roll on the ground and float on the water.\nIt moves easily on all types of ground, sand or pebbles.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">People with reduced mobility can also take advantage of a 20 m\u00b2 shaded platform directly on the sand, with their own wheelchair.\nAt the rear of the first-aid post,
