First swim of the year at Sables d’Or beach

In a festive, relaxed atmosphere, the most motivated among you are invited to come and swim at Plage des Sables d’Or at noon sharp for the first swim of the year.

On the first of the year, several hundred participants get together for a plunge into the new year!

A warm moment around the great bonfire

Participants who dare to brave the cold of the ocean can warm up around the large bonfire in the middle of the beach. Swimsuits, bathrobes and bow ties are required after the plunge to toast the day on the sand. Everyone is invited to bring a bottle of champagne to celebrate the New Year in style!

The event starts at 11am on the Sables d’Or beach. The event is carefully supervised by the Anglo-Swimming Guides, who are responsible for bathing safety and supervision.
