Parking

Throughout the region, parking is free all year round, but regulated. However, free parking is no longer available on the coast from early May to late October. These measures are designed to encourage users to use alternative modes of transport rather than the car.

Blue zones

Some parking areas, such as Place des Cinq Cantons and Esplanade Quintaou, are blue zones, which means that parking is free but limited in time (1 h 30 maximum).
A blue zone requires drivers to affix a disc to the front of their parked vehicle, so that it can be consulted by staff assigned to monitor the public highway.

WHERE TO GET YOUR BLUE DISC

Blue discs are available at the two reception desks of the Anglet Tourist Office (Cinq Cantons and Chambre d’Amour).

Along the coast

Non-residents of Anglet are required to pay for parking from May 1st to October 31th, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., every day, including weekends and public holidays.

PARKINGS CONCERNED

Two types of zones are defined with a maximum authorized duration of paid parking:

  • A red zone limited to a maximum of 3 h 20 parking per day (Sables d’Or zone).
  • A yellow zone with parking authorized for up to 10 hours a day (along the coast).

Charging stations

Are you visiting Anglet and need to recharge your electric vehicle?
Recharging stations are available throughout France.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

You can find the charging points on the map.

Free bike storage

In summer, there’s no excuse not to cycle to the beach thanks to secure parking!
From 5 July to 24 August 2025, a free bike storage service is available at the Chambre d’Amour, near the Club beach (Avenue des Vagues).

Practicalities: this service operates every day from 12pm to 7pm.
Users leave their bikes in an enclosed area marked out by barriers.

THE SERVICE WORKS LIKE A CHANGING ROOM

1. On arrival, the Txik Txak agent takes my mobile phone number and a photo of the bike.
2. I immediately receive a confirmation text message (which I must keep).
3. When I leave, I present my text message to collect my bike.
