Checler à ANGLET

Guitarist, rapper, singer... Checler skilfully blends musical genres. Sometimes ironic, often melancholy, his songs visit the human soul with surgical precision, plunging into the heart of what makes our times tick. A precise and insolent mirror of reality. His debut album "Le mélange" was released in September 2022. Checler borrows his deep, dense songwriting from rap to rehabilitate an organic, demanding French chanson à texte. The lyrics are full of meaning, close to the introspective hip-hop scene he loves (Népal, Orelsan, Disiz); the form, the melodic finesse of Ben Mazué or Voyou. And, of course, a few of his trademark off-road excursions.

Winner of the Rencontres d'Astaffort Voix du Sud / Fondation La Poste. Finalist for the Prix Georges Moustaki 2023.
