Lecture by Frédéric Schiffter, as part of Christophe Lamoure's cycle of philosophy lectures.

From "Absenteeism" to "Zeal", Frédéric Schiffter presents us not with a dictionary of preconceived ideas about working life, but with the sadistic lexicon of factory workers, the slang of contemporary guards, the toxic dialect of living well while sweating the day away. His method is simple: clean up the vocabulary of corporate hierarchs and restore it to its naked black truth. With him, there is no longer any such thing as actor or talent, company or balance sheet, executive or career or target, but rather choreable, submissive and diligent slaves, and masters to fatten up. At last, managerial conviviality and performance are given a proper name: that of the regulated enslavement and planned dumbing-down of the laboring herd.

Frédéric Schiffter is a writer and philosopher.
