Inshore rescue demonstrations to mark World Drowning Prevention Day.

The aim of this event is to present and promote all those involved in coastal rescue and to highlight the innovative nature of sea rescue techniques and equipment, some of which have been designed by the Guides de Bain Angloys.

Throughout the afternoon, there will be numerous demonstrations and events involving the Guides de Bain Angloys, the Gendarmerie with its ECU64 helicopter, the SNSM, the SMUR 64, etc.

Objectives :
1. To raise public awareness as part of World Drowning Prevention Day on 25 July 2025 under the auspices of the United Nations.
2. Live demonstration of all the players in the sea rescue chain.
3. Historical fresco of lifesaving sport.

Programme :
- 1pm to 4pm: Activities and introductions (free for the public).
- 4pm: Txomin Dacharry swims in from Guéthary.
- 4 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.: Professional coastal lifesaving demonstrations (free to the public).
- 5.30pm to 6.30pm: Screening of the film ‘Etxeko Bidea’ by Txomin Dacharry at the Espace de l'Océan.
- 6.30pm: Prize-giving ceremony.
