This vibrant, poetic oratorio reveals the fertile tensions between popular and symphonic music, between lyricism and raw voice, between exile and anchorage, between the local and the universal. It revives the singular presence of "La Marcelle", her profound and unclassifiable thoughts and words.
Inspired by the eternal recommencement of the living? "from death to embrace"? the show echoes Mahler's Song of the Earth and Marcelle Delpastre's recurring images. From this celebration of the living, from the infinitely small to the infinitely large, a grand final ball is born.
