As part of the exhibition dedicated to Marcelle Delpastre, we invite you to spend some time in Gascon. Frédéric Handy, visual arts mediator and storyteller, will guide us through the exhibition's fairy tales and other traditional inspirations, and offer an exchange in the Gascon language.
This exhibition retraces the life and work of Limousin poet and ethnographer Marcelle Delpastre. Born in Germont, Corrèze, in 1925, she took over her parents? farm and wrote about her native Limousin in both French and Limousin Occitan. Ethnographic studies, poems, plays, short stories, psalms - she occupies a singular place in the archipelago of contemporary Occitan poetry, leaving a colossal body of work that this exhibition sets out to explore, through numerous extracts from her texts.
