Initiation to Pelote Basque offered by Anglet Tourisme and taught by a qualified sports instructor, at the covered left wall of Les Cigales.
Pelote Basque is the king of sports in our region!
It's a real sport that takes the form of several games. It can be played at any age, with family or friends.
Oihan will introduce you to all the specialities on offer: barehand, pala, xare and chistera.
Pelota is a fundamental part of Basque culture, along with language, gastronomy, dance and song.

Le Musée Vivant de la Pelote :
Chaque séance s'ouvre sur un temps de découverte unique : un musée mobile entièrement dédié à la pelote basque.
Fabrication artisanale des pelotes, maquettes des différentes aires de jeu, collection de pelotes et d'instruments... tout est réuni pour comprendre, toucher et ressentir ce sport avant même de le pratiquer.
