"Femme Hérisson" Mariya Aneva - Le Petit Théâtre de Pain à ANGLET

With *Femme H%E9risson*, Le Petit Th%E9%E2tre de Pain is launching a new research project focused on intimate narratives and transformation.

A woman is called in urgently in the middle of the night to “receive” an organ transplant. But the operation does not go as planned, and she remains isolated for a long time in a sterile room. Thus begins a journey through the many lives accumulated within her, linked to her multiple identities and the history of her country, Bulgaria. Other transplants come to light: linguistic, cultural, and emotional.

Amid hallucinations, memories, and dialogues with the living and with her own ghosts, she navigates strange, sometimes humorous situations that explore her childhood, death, her journey as a woman, and her place in the world. Stories of care, society, and love intertwine to examine our lives and our transformations.
