A poetic journey through empathy and kindness.

On stage, an actress-dancer unfolds a unique art form in which every movement seems to evoke a word. At her side, a young virtuoso dancer. Dance, text, and imagery interact to convey a simple insight: in a world devoted to performance, slowing down, listening, and connecting may be the most radical actions we have left.

Ahimsa is a Sanskrit word that literally means “absence of violence.” It refers to an ethical principle of nonviolence toward others, but also toward oneself. Drawing on the work of Roman Krznaric, Marshall Rosenberg, and Serge Tisseron, choreographer Thierry Escarmant explores empathy—not as a feeling, but as a skill to be cultivated, capable of transforming our connections to the world and to others.

An invitation to take a step aside. And to let yourself be moved.
