The major refit of the Hermione.
The Hermione is undergoing a major refit in the port of Bayonne in Anglet. She has been put out to dry for a major maintenance operation, as essential repairs have to be carried out on an area of her hull that is usually submerged.

For the first time since the frigate has sailed, she is open to visitors during this refit operation. The Hermione ? La Fayette, the ship?s owner, wishes to share this stage in the Hermione?s life with as many people as possible. This is why an exhibition has been created and installed on the quay, while the ship continues to be accessible to the public during the refit.
Mediators and volunteers are on hand on deck to answer any questions visitors may have.

Jusqu'au 30 septembre, une visite guidée "Au cœur du chantier" en français est proposée :
- Jours de visite : mercredis, samedis et dimanches.
- Horaire : départ unique à 14h30.
- Durée : environ 1h30.

Accompagnés d’un guide, les visiteurs découvriront le navire en restauration, les enjeux techniques du Grand Carénage et les savoir-faire mobilisés autour de ce patrimoine maritime vivant.
Une bonne mobilité est requise (escaliers étroits et accès techniques).
