Facing the façade of the Villa Beatrix Enea, to which its destiny is now linked, the gallery moved in 2023 from the walls of the media library to the surroundings of the Villa Beatrix Enea, while keeping its name ?galerie Pompidou?
Designed by the architectural firm Philippe Rabier & Tiffany Porter, the 485 m2 building has a sober volumetry to better respect the immediate environment. It shares the same chromatic palette as the Villa Beatrix Enea: the gray tone of the stone is matched by that of the zinc cladding of the new building, as is the beige color of the frames and the canopy. Its translucent façade is discreetly illuminated: backlit signage highlights its presence at nightfall.
Natural light is the primary material, served by two monumental glass facades. One invites the visitor to enter, the other to contemplate the back garden.
