Anglet Surf Avenue

Among the must-see places to visit, we highly recommend Anglet Surf Avenue on the Sables d'Or deck, facing the ocean. Inaugurated in 2018 for the 50th anniversary of surfing in Anglet with five legends: Joël de Rosnay, Jacques Rott, Tom Curren, Maritxu Darrigrand and Peter Cole. This unique promenade invites you to walk in the footsteps of surfing legends.
Anglet Surf Avenue is our surfing version of the famous Walk of Fame in Los Angeles. Here, the stars are replaced by surfers and watermen who have made surfing history.
The concrete slabs, decorated with bronze plaques designed by artist Fabien Cayeré, bear the footprints of some twenty surfing icons such as Kelly Slater, Johanne Defay, Mick Fanning, Jérémy Flores, Michel Bourez, Kai Lenny, Justine Dupont, Pauline Ado and Kauli Vaast.
