Anglet's Town Hall is a key witness to local history and architecture. Fans will appreciate the distinctive elements of this regionalist movement, giving the building its unique, timeless character. Today's Hôtel de Ville was built in 1936 by the renowned Biarritz architect William Marcel, who also designed Villa El Hogar (1924) and Château de Brindos (1930). This architect transformed the former town hall into a remarkable edifice, embodying the pure neo-Basque style. Thoughtful materials and design: The patio floor is made of Rhune and Bidache stone. The balcony balustrades are oak, and the tower staircase is pine. The tower-shaped body of the building, with its clock, recalls the bell towers of local churches. The Town Hall remains an architectural landmark and a symbol of Anglet's evolution.
