Open to the public since 1999, it is home to a university campus comprising the Institut Universitaire Technologique du Pays Basque, the Collège des Sciences et Technologies pour l?Énergie et l?Environnement and the Institut Supérieur Aquitain du Bâtiment et des Travaux Publics.
