This 15-hectare park, as beautiful as it is discreet, preserves the last natural vestiges of the dune coast, revealing a diversified landscape: coastal lagoons, lakes, salt meadows, freshwater ponds and dune environments. Classified as a Sensitive Natural Area (ENS) and Natura 2000, Parc Izadia is a precious refuge for the Basque Coast's biodiversity.
Opt for a guided tour for an in-depth understanding of the local ecosystem, or explore at your own pace with a leaflet or digital tablet. Children can take advantage of a little naturalist's kit at the entrance, including a magnifying glass, binoculars, compass and identification sheets for observing and recognizing flora and fauna.
The park also offers scientific exhibitions and workshops in partnership with local associations.
