Created for the Festival d?Avignon 2024, Close Up is a captivating exploration of movement, music and video.
Based on Johann Sebastian Bach?s Art of the Fugue, six dancers and five musicians join forces to create a stunning score. Each gesture is inspired by action verbs: catch, avoid, hit, throw... The result is an experience of profoundly moving inventiveness.
Concept, choreography: Noé Soulier / Music: Pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach from The Art of the Fugue, The Musical Offering, and Sonata Movements / Performed by ensemble il Convito
In co-production with the Office Artistique de la Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine
