The Société d?Astronomie Populaire de la Côte Basque (Popular Astronomy Society of the Basque Coast) is organizing an event around the exhibition "L?Homme arpente la Terre" (Man surveys the Earth):

- A brief history of navigation from antiquity to the present day, and the measurement of latitude and longitude.
- Activities with replicas of ancient instruments, introducing you to astronomical navigation: Astrolabe and Sea Astrolabe, Astronomical Ring, Jacob's Rod, Davis Quarter, Armillary Sphere, Quadrant, Octant, Sextant.

Free parking 300m away.
