Pétanque, bowling, Gascon palet, and bull races—all of which embody both tradition and modernity and are steeped in the Occitan language and culture that they help keep alive— traditional regional sports are a vital part of our heritage. They are still practiced today for recreation or competition.

By tracing the history and current practice of each of these sports, this exhibition invites you to discover the diversity of our region’s sporting cultures and to participate in their development and transmission to future generations.
