L'Hermione calls at the Port of Bayonne, Anglet, for her Grand Carénage!
This unique ship, an authentic replica of an 18th-century three-master, passed the mouth of the Adour River on September 16, 2021, and remains in dry dock at the Port of Bayonne. During her stay, the Hermione will be welcoming visitors on board.

The Hermione is a tall ship with a long history: in 1992, the Hermione-Lafayette association was founded by a group of maritime history enthusiasts, with the aim of rebuilding a late 18th-century frigate in the heart of Rochefort's historic arsenal.
Construction began on July 4, 1997, and was completed 14 years later, in 2014, making this ship the only witness to the great era of the sailing navy.

Le chantier de restauration est ouvert tous les jours de 10h à 12h30 et 14h à 18h (dernière entrée à 17h).

• Visites guidées :
- "Histoire et découverte" à 10h30 et 16h (durée 1h).
Pour monter sur les ponts et vivre une première immersion dans l'histoire de la frégate et la vie à bord.
- "Au cœur du chantier" à 14h30 (durée 1h30).
Pour descendre au plus près de la coque en travaux et comprendre le chantier de restauration.

Accompagnés d’un guide, les visiteurs découvriront le navire en restauration, les enjeux techniques du Grand Carénage et les savoir-faire mobilisés autour de ce patrimoine maritime vivant.

• Visites libres accessibles tout au long de la journée, à l'exception du jeudi matin.
Découverte en autonomie des ponts supérieurs de la frégate et de l’exposition à quai.

Une bonne mobilité est requise (escaliers étroits et accès techniques).
